Dr. Jerry Ahluwalia is a new fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon who has joined the Far Oaks Orthopedic practice in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Ahluwalia recently completed a one-year fellowship in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Replacement with the San Diego Arthritis and Adult Reconstructive Surgery Center, studying with Dr. Richard F. Santore and Dr. Michael P. Muldoon.

As a member of the Far Oaks Orthopedic group, he will be performing both surgical and non-surgical management of general orthopaedic problems including, but not limited to, fracture care, sports medicine, injuries to the musculoskeletal system and orthopaedic trauma.

In addition, during his fellowship training, he specialized in joint replacement, including primary and revision total joints, as well as joint-preserving procedures including Ganz periacetabular osteotomies for the treatment of adult hip dysplasia.

A specific focus of his fellowship training was in the use of hip arthroscopy for the treatment of labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement, and athletic injuries.

Education

Dr. Ahluwalia completed his undergraduate education at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He received his medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Wright State University/Miami Valley Hospital prior to his fellowship training.
